About/Welcome letter

Hi! I’m so happy you’re here. I am Dr. Samantha Pajestka, owner, and chiropractor of Innately Well Chiropractic. I am a vitalistic and nervous system-centered chiropractor. What this means is that I view the body as a dynamic and continuously changing organism that is adapting constantly to what it needs and desires. Vitalism assumes that there is an intelligence and order within the organism that is designed to heal the body, and every system in the body coordinates functions with each other system. Chiropractic is designed on the concept of vitalism. Conventional medicine on the other hand views the body as a sum of its parts. Conventional medicine believes that each system (cardiac, pulmonary, circulatory, musculoskeletal) all function independently, so they have specialists that take care of each individual system. This is a mechanistic model.

As a vitalistic chiropractor, I understand and acknowledge that within each of us lies an innate intelligence. This intelligence allows all conscious and subconscious actions to occur from birth on. It is because of our nervous systems that we can breathe, think, speak, and exist. As a society, we are constantly surrounded by physical, chemical (toxins), and emotional stressors that disrupt our systems and cause a decrease in adaptability. We refer to these disruptions as subluxations. An increase in subluxations leads to a decrease in health. Interferences to our nervous system (subluxations) can lead to many ailments of the mind and body like decreased energy, decreased immune function, neck/back pain, anxiety/depression, organ system dysfunctions, etc. As your chiropractor, I seek to remove subluxations causing interference to your nervous system through specific adjustments to the spine. By removing subluxations through a very safe, specific, and controlled force applied to a joint, the interference is removed, and the body’s nervous system is able to function fully and properly. In essence, with chiropractic, true healing is coming from within the body rather than from the chiropractor’s adjustment. This allows you, an individual, to move towards a life full of abundance and health in both mind and body.

It is the medical belief that healing comes from the outside-in, such as medications and surgery. It is the chiropractic belief that the body heals from the inside-out, and the capacity to heal already resides within you.

I am so happy you are here. It is my hope that together we can re-introduce you to the innate healer already residing within you.

I look forward to serving you and your family soon.

Meet the Doctor

Dr. Sam is a native Texan but decided to make a big move shortly after graduating chiropractic school. She is also a big fan of any activity that gets her in the sun, be that a trip to the lake or hiking a trail. FAQ

Can I use my insurance?

Dr. Sam is currently an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. Dr. Sam has chosen not to work directly with insurance companies because, in general, insurance companies rely heavily on a “sick” model of care rather than a “wellness/preventative” model of care. Many insurance companies will attempt to dictate the type of care you can and cannot receive. Insurance companies were designed for quick, short-term symptom and disease care and on treatment that is heavily weighted in the conventional model which often relies on drugs and surgery. We are committed to a care model that will address the underlying cause of your symptoms and provide you with nervous system focused adjustments that will keep your brain and body fully connected and communicating even in the absence of pain and symptoms.

If you do have a policy, it will probably help cover at least some expenses of your sick care when seen in our office. While Dr. Sam is an out-of-network provider, you can still utilize your insurance. We will provide you with the necessary paperwork and a receipt called a superbill within 24 hours of your appointment. You can use this superbill to submit it to your health insurance provider for reimbursement of services. If you have any questions or are unsure how to submit your superbill to your insurance, we would be happy to assist you.

Can my baby and/or child be adjusted?

YES! Dr. Sam recommends that all babies have their nervous systems assessed after birth. Birth, even in its most beautiful form, is a source of trauma and stress for both mom and baby. Many health challenges that show up in adulthood can often be traced back to one’s childhood- including their birthing experience. This is especially the case if additional medical intervention was required. This can cause interruptions with the nerve signal flow from the brain to the body and back. These disruptions can then interfere with childhood development and can be a cause for developmental delay. Dr. Sam will often see babies and children that have benefited significantly from the removal of subluxation that have caused multiple symptoms such as: growing pains, difficulty sleeping, behavioral changes, ADHD, bedwetting, plagiocephaly, headaches, constipation, difficulty latching, colic, torticollis, ear infections, and more. Dr. Sam uses a very gentle pressure to adjust infants and small children that can be compared to the pressure you would use to check a tomato for ripeness at the grocery store. She also utilizes cranial and visceral work with the littles.

Can I get adjusted while pregnant?

YES! Dr. Sam is certified in Webster’s technique which she specifically utilizes for her pregnant practice members. Webster’s technique is a gentle chiropractic adjustment that removes subluxation from the lower back and pelvis and incorporates a soft tissue release of associated muscle groups. It allows the pelvis to function properly during pregnancy. This technique also reduces soft tissue tension that may be causing uterine torsion. By balancing the pelvic bones, nerves, muscles, and ligaments it allows for harmony within the mother, and an ideal environment for baby to grow and move. The mothers that have seen Dr. Sam for care before, during, and after their pregnancies have reported: relief in their middle and lower back pain, feelings of balance and comfort, shorter labor times, decreased nausea/heartburn, lower rates of forceps use and vacuum extractions, optimal baby positioning, decreased round ligament pain, quicker healing post-partum and increase in milk supply.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to promote health and treat various medical conditions. This therapeutic technique is based on the concept of energy flow, known as Qi (pronounced “chee”), through meridians or pathways in the body. By stimulating acupuncture points, practitioners aim to balance the flow of Qi and restore the body’s natural energy balance.

Acupuncture is commonly used to address pain management, stress reduction, improve sleep, enhance immune function, and promote overall well-being. It is often sought after as a complementary or alternative therapy to conventional medical treatments.

Acupuncture can help individuals with the following:

  • Neck/Mid-Back/Low Back Pain
  • Extremity Pain
  • Headaches
  • Sports Injuries
  • Muscle Pain – Tension/Trigger Points
  • Sprains/Strains
  • Tingling or Numbness
  • Sciatica
  • Tendonitis
  • Anxiety and Stress
  • Digestive Issues
  • And Many MORE!
